Morning and end of day routines
School starts at 8:55am. Please be on time as learning starts straight away.
Hyde Park and Regent’s Park children should line up outside their classroom doors. Green Park children should line up outside the door to their cloakroom.
Please be on time to collect your child when school finishes at 3:25pm.
General Class housekeeping
Children need to bring a full water bottle to school every day. It can be refilled from the classroom water coolers.
Children in Year 2 receive a free piece of fruit every day so you child does not need to bring fruit to school.
PE – Green Park Class have PE on Wednesdays. Hyde Park and Regent’s Park Classes have PE on Thursdays. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit and wearing trainers or plimsolls.
Once a week, the children also have an Art Lesson with Danni, Spanish with Sylvia and Singing Assembly with Elena.

We will be continuing DSR (Daily Supported Reading) until the end of the Autumn Term.
At the start of the Spring Term we will transition to DR (Daily Reading – that has a whole class focus) alongside individual reading of graded books and written comprehension.
Children can borrow books from their classroom book corner. They must bring a bag to take their book home.
The Year 1 Phonic screening, which was due to take place in June, will happen during this term (before Christmas).
The first Parents’ Evenings will take place during the week beginning 20th September, and again in March 2022.

Story time is something the school does a lot with your children, so we really encourage you to keep reading books at home. Children can also listen to stories online, which can help support them in their daily reading:
Last year for World Book Day, Rob Biddulph, an author and illustrator, visited Bounds Green and did an amazing workshop for our key stage one children. He is doing really amazing online art activities for children. Click the link below:
We also have some great experiments for those budding scientists, and all only using things you’d have at home!
