Phonics and reading are a fundamental part of your child’s development in the Early Years Foundation Stage. To find out more about our approach to teaching reading and phonics at Bounds Green, and how you can support your child, we would like to invite you to a meeting on Thursday 8th October in your child’s classroom.

The meeting will take place at 3.45pm and will be repeated at 5pm for those that are not able to make the earlier meeting. If you plan to attend the 3.45pm meeting, a creche will be available for Reception children only and will be run by school staff. Please note, that no creche will be available for the 5pm meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting to establish the beginning of a supportive home/school partnership as your child begins their reading and phonics journey.

Island Gardens will be going swimming every Friday with their last session being on Friday 4th December. They will need to bring their swimming kit and ZIP card each week.
