We are inviting parents of Year 5 children to a special Year 5 assembly on Wednesday 24th June. The children will also be having a dress rehearsal on Thursday 18th June, this is for children only, parents are to attend the main one of the 24th June.

During the assembly, the children will share highlights of their memorable trip to Lanzarote in March. They have worked hard to reflect on their experiences and are looking forward to presenting what they learned, enjoyed, and discovered during the visit.

Prior to the trip, all Year 5 pupils took part in a six-week cross-curricular unit of work inspired by Lanzarote. The children studied the artist and architect César Manrique through their Art and Spanish lessons and explored the fascinating world of volcanoes through their Geography and Science learning. As this was a whole-year-group project, some children who did not attend the Lanzarote trip will also be presenting and sharing their learning during the assembly.
