WHAT DOES THE PTA DO?

We are a group of parents, carers and school staff, who volunteer our time and efforts to organise fundraising events for the school.

HOW DO WE RAISE MONEY?

Every year we organise a range of events including: cake sales, book sales, quiz nights, the Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fair. We rely 100% on you! Every PTA event and idea comes about because of the generosity of our school community – donating their time and skills.  The great news is that it’s always fun and that 100% of what we do benefits our school and your children.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The money we raise goes towards buying new books and equipment for the school, subsidises school trips, supports extracurricular clubs and workshops. It also helps to fund major school projects, such as the redevelopment of the playground.

HOW CAN YOU JOIN IN AND FIND OUT MORE?

We’ll be sending information on events to you throughout the year. Look out for notes in book bags, or email, here on this website, or on our facebook page.

Joining in is very simple – make stuff, bake stuff, buy stuff, come to events, volunteer your time and skills – doing even one thing will make a big difference!

The PTA holds open meetings each year. Come along to find out more and contribute your ideas. Plus the Class Reps scheme means that even more people can have a say and help out. 

JOIN IN AND BE A ‘CLASS REP’

Would you like to help spread important news amongst your year group, get involved with fundraising ideas, and have a great excuse to catch up with other parents and carers? We are looking for people to volunteer as a Class Rep for their year. Each year group ideally needs 3 or 4 people who are able to give a little time and effort towards helping PTA events run smoothly. It’s fun, takes very little time and effort and makes a massive difference to the school, in lots of ways. If you are interested please email us at: boundsgreenschoolpta@live.co.uk.
