Every School in the country is allocated money each year to develop sporting and encourage healthy lifestyles.  We use the PE and Sport premium to secure improvements in the following 5 areas to promote engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity, for example by:

• providing targeted activities or support to involve and encourage the least active children
• encouraging active play during break times and lunchtimes
• establishing, extending or funding attendance of school sport clubs and activities and holiday clubs, or broadening the variety offered
• adopting an active mile initiative
• raising attainment in primary school swimming to meet requirements of the national curriculum before the end of key stage 2. Every child should leave primary school able to swim.

• Bounds Green Infant School received £17,750 from the DfE PE and Sport Grant for 2022-23
• Bounds Green Junior School received £18,970 from the DfE PE and Sport Grant for 2022-23

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT PREMIUM 2023/2024

• Bounds Green Infant School received £17,774 from the DfE PE and Sport Grant for 2023-24. This funding will be spend by the end of the 23/24 academic year as have some carried forward funding into 24/25 financial year.
• Bounds Green Junior School received £19,428 from the DfE PE and Sport Grant for 2023-24
