HOME LEARNING UPDATE / GUIDANCE
We hope you are all well considering the challenging times! We are thinking of all of our families and missing you all very much.
We are constantly reviewing procedures based on current developments here on the ground at BG and of course nationally, seeking guidance from Borough, as well as national guidance.
We all share concerns around the management of social distancing and are seeking to find a way to share home learning safely at the same time as ensuring we provide you with a balance of on and offline activities. We want to avoid parents coming into school but at the same time, we want to ensure children have access work.
In response to this, we have adapted the guidance for home learning, which we will of course continue to review and evaluate. These are purely guidelines, so only do what you feel you are able to.
New Guidance for Home Learning:
- Follow the same guidelines for Purple Mash and MyMaths.
- Following advice from the Borough, we are to avoid setting worksheet-based work. We will therefore be setting 2 offline tasks to be completed in books.
- We will now only be providing a hardcopy pack work for those of you who informed the office that you did not have internet access. We will print and post home.
- Work with instructions from our teachers will be uploaded on the class pages by noon on Monday.
We will continue to add suggested sites to the bottom of each class page, which parents can choose to do at home should they wish to, you will find a link to your child’s class at the bottom of this page.
Please do take care. We will continue to update you.
If you have any questions about the home learning please email Liz Luka at
Wishing you all well and stay safe.
