28 May Things to Remember When it Comes to Covid-19
1. If a member of your household develops at least one of the three key symptoms they will need to take a full PCR test (not a Lateral Flow Test as this is only for people with no symptoms). The three key symptoms are; a new persistent cough, a high temperature, loss of smell and/or taste. You can book a test and find out all the relevant information via the Government website: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
2. If a member of your household does develop any of the three key symptoms, as well as booking them for a PCR test, ALL HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS MUST SELF-ISOLATE until the person with symptoms receives a negative result, or has completed the 10 day quarantine period.
3. If the person who has developed any one of the three key symptoms is a child that attends Bounds Green School, please make sure to call the school office as soon as possible to inform us of the day that the child started having symptoms and when their test will be.
4. To Report a Positive Case: If anyone in your household gets a positive result back, please contact the school as soon as possible to inform us. If you receive the positive test result between Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm then please call the school office immediately on 0208 888 8824. If you receive the positive test result between Monday-Friday 5pm-8am (evening/overnight) or on the weekend then please TEXT ONLY to 07969 502 099 with your child’s name, class, when they became symptomatic, when they were tested and when you received the positive result.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during these times. By following these guidelines it will help to keep us all as safe as possible. We’d finally like to remind all parents and carers to not come into the school building, or go to the school office, unless you have been invited to do so. If you need to ask a question or check something, then please call on 0208 888 8824 or email on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help you.
