06 Jan Reception Remote Learning – w/c 06.01.21
Dear parents and carers in Reception,
We hope you are all well and managed to have a restful break during these challenging and unprecedented times. It has been a very difficult time for some families within our community and we hope 2021 will be a happy, healthy and safe year for everyone.
As you will have heard, the school will be closed for the majority of pupils and remote education will be provided instead. We know how much our Bounds Green families love keeping busy and being creative, so the teachers have put together some activities, ideas for learning and useful websites for you to tryout with your child/ren at home.
Please remember that children learn as they play and by having stories read to them. Through play and stories, children can develop social and thinking skills, mature emotionally and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Our activities are suggestions which you can access at any time to help support your child. We are also uploading a short phonics video to teach our new sounds: ‘ss’, ‘ll’ and ‘ff’.
We hope to see you all soon and would like to thank you for your continued support.

Here are three videos for the children to watch, there is one telling the story of ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Can you See?’, and the other two are teaching the children the makaton for the animals and colours mentioned in the story.
